Welcome to the group.
Sour Grapes
hello everyone.... honestly i dont know how to start my first post.
i have been an avid reader of jwd for some time now, and now have decided to say hello.
i was raised as a witness, and have been baptized for 17 years.
Welcome to the group.
Sour Grapes
raising children in the jw cult is child abuse because the jw cult is the most dangerous organization on earth.
the jw cult is totally satanic.
anybody who is a jw is insane and psychotic and incapable of logical and analytical thinking.
I would say that what I went thru as a child was minor child abuse because
of being denied the holidays, not getting to know my worldly aunts, uncles and
cousins and being made fun of in school for being a JW. I would not say that
JW's are Satanic. Basically they are bunch of good people in a cult.
Sour Grapes
Fading and undercover.
Sour Grapes
Reniaa,
I have read the Bible several times. I know people who do not believe
in God or even care about God and their lifes on the outside appear to
be better than mine. Praying to God did not stop my sick father from dying,
or stop me from going thru a divorce. or prevent my children from marrying
individuals that I prayed that they would not marry. My personal relationship
with God has been a one way street.
Sour Grapes
The Brother giving the talk today said many times about our personal
relationship with God. I thought "how do you do that and how do we
know that is even possible?" How do we know that God hears our
prayers and answers our prayers? If I were to ask God for a million dollars
right now, or a new car or to make me well if I were sick would He do that?
How do we know that God even likes us? We say that God gives us strength.
When I was an active elder, I did not have any more strength than my
Catholic neighbors. We say that God protects us, however how many children
have been abused by JW's in good standing? I have heard older Witnesses
say that Jehovah gave me the strenghth to make it to the meeting today.
Who gives strength to the old folks who go to church every Sunday?
Getting away from the subject this same elder said that Satan is controlling
the price of gasoline to discourage God's people.
Sour Grapes
I like the analogy that the Witnesses are like a suit. They do act
differently when at the Hall versus when they are in public. They
would be more wordly if they did not have the fear of being caught.
Sour Grapes
i know many hundreds of jw's and there are several common.
threads that tie them together.. 1. they were born into the truth and got married, had.
children and now have deep jw family ties.. 2. people who are so gullible that they believe everything.
I know many hundreds of JW's and there are several common
threads that tie them together.
1. They were born into the Truth and got married, had
children and now have deep JW family ties.
2. People who are so gullible that they believe everything
they hear without checking the facts.
3. People who are depressed and will do anything to
have a hope for the future.
4. People who have emotional and mental issues.
5. People who can not make a decision.
6. People who have no education or authority at
their place of emploment, but have power at the
Kingdom Hall by being an elder or MS.
7. People who like the idea of never having to die.
8. People who have lost children or a spouse in death
and want to see them again alive on earth.
9. People with physical infirmities who want to be able
to walk again or see again.
Did I miss any one?
Sour Grapes
according to august kingdom ministry for u. s., memorial attendance was 2,469,036. in 2008, it was 2,418,903..
The Witchtower Babel and Trick Society can use any number that they want.
Who would know the difference?
Sour Grapes
i visited a kh today with my wife and the brother who gave the public talk.
said that there is so much unnatural use of the sex organs by the world's.
youth, that the medical field is encouraging all parents with children 12 years.
The thing that really gets under my skin is that while all of this
BS is being spewed out, that the zombie Witnesses sit there and
take it all in and nod their head in agreement. After the talk they
all say to each other "wasn't that a good talk or a good meeting?"
The only good thing is that it ended. I am really enjoying everyones
comments. This is so much more interesting than sitting at the
KH being embarrased by their ignorance and lack of Bible knowledge.
I really wonder that if the Witchtower said that we need to drink the
kool aid, how many would take a sip?
All of this crap just makes me Sour Grapes.
